Matt brings over 20 years of experience in the investment industry to his clients. His current role of providing financial guidance was a natural progression from his deep capital markets background. He was previously a Senior Vice President at Wedbush Morgan. Prior experience includes over 12 years with RBC Capital Markets, the Royal Bank of Canada’s U.S. Equity Capital Markets division, where he was a Vice President. Matt began his career in the investment industry at World Equities, LLC in London, England.
Matt graduated from Drake University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and completed the Securities Industry Institute® (SII) executive development program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He holds a Series 7, 24, 55, 63 and 66 license.
Matt is a past President of the Minnesota Security Dealers Association (MSDA) and a member of the Security Traders Association (STA), where he has been an advocate on Capitol Hill, in front of Senators and members of Congress, for maintaining a fair and equitable U.S. equity market structure.
Matt lives in Deephaven, Minnesota with his wife, Julie, and their three children. Interests outside of work include fishing, skiing, coaching Minnetonka youth football and hockey, but most of all, spending time with family. He’s a past chair of the Board of Trustees at the Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church and currently chairs their Foundation & Trustees Investment Committee.
